Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd

We are an International congregation, with an apostolic or contemplative lifestyle. We express our charism together with mission partners in 72 countries.

Our Vision

We envision a new way of living that celebrates the connectedness of all God's creation, an inclusive world where the dignity and diversity of all life is honored and protected.

Our Mission

Energized by our evolving understanding of God's love, we build partnerships that promote the dignity and human rights of all, especially women and children. In solidarity, we work for the transformation of unjust systems, the flourishing of humanity and integrity of all creation.

The Heart of the Mission

Talk together joyfully, remembering the presence of God and aware that angels watch over you, and help in a special way those who contribute to the pleasure of others.

I am with you always

The Word of God:
“Jesus said, ‘I have come that you may have life and have it to the full’…” John 10:10
Reflection
Here is an invitation to celebrate your life by living it as best you can. This means being more authentic, honouring the truth of your being, following your heart’s deepest desire and using your gifts for the good of all. It means being ready to make the best of all the opportunities you are given, learning to flow with life in all its seasons. Life is a precious gift that God has given, so precious that God sent Jesus to show us how to live the best life we can. If we look at how Jesus lived, we see that His life was about loving. Life is best lived when we give of ourselves in love.
Ritual
Be still …close your eyes… take a moment to thank God for the gift of your life. Think of one way you could be living your life with more energy and more generosity. Ask God now to enable you to live today as best you can…Look for opportunities today to celebrate your gift of life by bringing love and joy to those around you.
Remember
My life is a precious gift to live as fully as I can.
