Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd

We are an International congregation, with an apostolic or contemplative lifestyle. We express our charism together with mission partners in 72 countries.

Our Vision

We envision a new way of living that celebrates the connectedness of all God's creation, an inclusive world where the dignity and diversity of all life is honored and protected.

Our Mission

Energized by our evolving understanding of God's love, we build partnerships that promote the dignity and human rights of all, especially women and children. In solidarity, we work for the transformation of unjust systems, the flourishing of humanity and integrity of all creation.

The Heart of the Mission

The lack of responsibility is typical of a cowardly spirit, of a mean heart, this narrows the soul and will be useless in the vineyard of the Lord.

I am with you always

The Word of God:
“What do you want me to do for you?” Mark 10:51
Reflection
What a generous big hearted question! It is the kind of question that springs from a heart that is familiar with giving and always ready to give more. It is a question that Jesus asks, and today he asks it of you, “What do you want me to do for you?” How do you want to respond to Jesus’ question? Perhaps you are stressed or concerned about someone or something? Perhaps your heart is heavy and burdened? Perhaps you need support in a particular challenge or task you have to face? Or perhaps you want Jesus to do something for someone whom you love and care about? Whatever it be, Jesus wants to meet you in your need.
Ritual
Pause now…, think quietly about how you want to respond to Jesus’ question… Be very still and listen to Him ask this question of you right now, “What do you (name yourself here ________ ) want me to do for you?” In the silence of your heart, take time now to share your answer with Jesus. And when you have done so, take a minute or two to think of those around you, who, having been blessed yourself, may need you to ask the same question of them.
Remember
I am blessed by the generosity of Jesus.
