OUR COMMITMENT AS CONGREGATION TO
A seven-year journey together…
“God of communion,
enable us to become communities of participatory action and advocacy, for the Earth and the poor.
Enable our religious communities, in particular, to be prophetic servant leaders in the care of our common home and of the least among us.”

Dear Sisters and Partners in Mission,
Today as we mark the 5th World Day of the Poor and also celebrate the birthday of St. John Eudes, we as CLT, on behalf of the Congregation, have signed a pledge to, “publicly commit to join the worldwide Catholic community in responding to Pope Francis’ appeal to participate in a seven-year journey toward sustainability and integral ecology by developing a Laudato Si’ Action Platform.” (Commitment Religious Communities). We are taking this public journey in collaboration with UISG and other networks.
We invite you as Units, sisters and partners in mission, to also publicly pledge your commitment in creative ways and share it with us on Facebook and your own websites.
To know more about the Laudato Si’ Action Platform which will be open for enrollment to participate as of today, please visit www.laudatosiactionplatform.org and https://www.sowinghopefortheplanet.org, these sites are in all the Congregational languages for easy access, exploration and initiatives.
Attached please find our signed public commitment as Congregation to the Laudato Si’ Action Platform.
Pope Francis calls us to “an ‘ecological conversion’, whereby the effects of [our] encounter with Jesus Christ become evident in [our] relationship with the world around [us].” (LS 217)
May “Aguchita” accompany us on this journey over the next 7 years as we pray for “the grace to be an example of shepherding in the service of the Church, in charity with those most in need and in the care of the Creation.” (Aguchita Prayer card)
Together let us sow hope for the planet as we are “Drawn by Love, Passionate for Justice”.
